A finca of superlatives! Originally from the 18th century, the renovated rural finca invites you to spend a pleasant time. Situated on a hill, it has a wonderful panoramic view of the mountains and the countryside. At the same time, the center of San Llorenç des Cardassar, which can be reached in 5 minutes, offers a selection of shopping for the daily needs. The beaches of the east coast with turquoise blue water like Sa Marjal and 4 golf courses are all within 15 to 20 minutes. For shopping trips the streets of the medieval Artas, also 15 km away, are recommended, where the Burganlage is particularly worth a trip. This absolutely quiet property promises 100% privacy and 100% nature without being secluded.

If you choose this property, you will find an extremely attractive outdoor area with many different places. The property has a main house for up to 10 people and another guest house for up to 6 people, behind which is a large garage for 3 cars. The turquoise blue shimmering pool surrounds a natural stone terrace with comfortable sunbeds and umbrellas so you can also enjoy an extended nap in the open without having to worry about a sunglasses. The holidaymaker's heart laughs especially when the evening hours also come from a culinary perspective, which is quite possible in the area of the brick barbeque.Over the charcoal, you can sizzle freshly fished, while you are already enjoying the anticipation with a glass of wine.
The fact that this finca offers a lot of privacy thanks to many different accommodation options, which also have an inviting effect, continues in the interior of the country house. Particularly striking is, thanks to the large windows, the bright overall impression. The main house has a large entrance hall with double ceiling and with a view of the open stone arches and stone walls of the first floor. In combination with various details and the luxurious renovation, they lend the house its very special character and remind of a stately mansion. From here you have access to the large bright salon with wide glass doors that spread over the entire width of the room and lead to the stone patio along the entire rear façade of the finca. In the salon, you can retreat to the two large cozy sofas and let your thoughts be inspired by the crackling of the fire, or dine together at the dining table, which is also ideal for a convivial round of cards. From here you can return to the rustic large kitchen, where you will find another table. From the salon and the kitchen you have access to the side porch. From the large comfortable lounge and the dining table you have a wonderful view over the pool to the countryside and the mountains.

On the ground floor there are two beautiful bedrooms with bathroom en suite and a guest toilet.

Through the staircase to the upper floor one could enter the open foyer with the mentioned precious arches. The room is furnished with traditional Mallorcan furniture, with lounge and table. From here you enter the Masterbedroom with dressing room and private bathroom with tub and shower, as well as in the two other bedrooms with bathroom en suite.

In addition, it would be possible to rent the guest house for up to 6 persons, so that the property can accommodate a total of 16 persons. It has a living room with open modern kitchen and three further bedrooms with bathroom en suite.

Shopping can be done in the nearby village, which is in approx. 5 minutes to reach - when it comes to shopping trips, it is worth a detour to Arta, 15 km away, with its medieval architecture. Or you can visit the second largest city on the island of Manacor, where you will find not only restaurants with recommended Mallorcan cuisine, but also ceramics, artificial pearls and olive wood products. From the completely secluded finca you can also quickly reach the dream beaches of the eastern island region - Cala Millor, Sa Coma and Costa de los Pinos are all about 15 kilometers away. The lively Cala Rajada in the north-east can be reached by car in half an hour.

Artà is one of 53 municipalities in Mallorca and is located in the north-east of the largest Spanish Balearic island. It belongs to the region of Llevant and is located about 60 km from the capital Palma de Mallorca. The Massís d'Artà, which is the highest massif of the eastern mountain chains of the Llevant region, accounts for more than half the municipal area. In the west, the commune borders with the Bay of Alcúdia and in the north with the Mediterranean Sea.

The coast stretches over 25 kilometers. On an area of approximately 140 km2leben about 7,500 people in the municipality. The majority of the population, about 6,000 people, lives in the small town of Artà, which is the administrative center of the municipality. The official language is Spanish and Catalan. The municipality and above all the valley landscape of the Massís d'Artà are characterized by the cultivation of fig, almond and carob trees.

In addition, the municipal area is characterized by extensive uninhabited areas and in the mountains are predominantly olive tree cultures. July is the driest month in Artà, which is otherwise climatically characterized by year-round precipitation. In October, the highest rainfall is measured.

History of Artà

The first records of Artà are dated to 1232, still under the name "Yartân" in the Llibre de repartiment de mallorca (Jaume I). This name originates from the Arabic word for garden - "Gertan". The landscaped landscape was already populated with the beginnings of the settlement of Majorca.

It is also assumed that the fortress, which is situated on a hill above the city, already arose before the maturity of the Islamic-Arabic cultures. This fortress was known both from the 10th to the 13th century, that is, in the Arab era of the commune, as well as under the later Catalan rule under the name of Almudaina. This name is the Arabic word for castle orFortress. The fortress, which is about one meter thick, with its main Sant Miguel tower, now encompasses the pilgrimage church of the Santuari de Sant Salvador where a wooden Romanesque statue of the Virgin Mary can be seen. This was brought to the island, according to tradition, during the conquest of the Balearic Island by Jaume I, one of the most important monarchs of the period and the Spanish Middle Ages.

The Yartan Peninsula was one of thirteen parts of Majorca during the Moorish and Arabic periods. The Catalan conquest, or after the arrival of the Premonstratensians, the city of Artà was established in the 13th century. Premonstratensians established the priory of Santa Maria del Bellpuig. This land estate is located a little to the southwest of Artà and from there, the present city area was parceled and populated. This urban area was called "the farms of Almudaina", which is why the town was still called Almudaina until the 15th century, before the name was changed to Artà.

Top 5 Tips for Artà

Next to the fortress on the Calvary, which surrounds the sanctuary of San Salvador, a walk through the center of Artà is a must if you spend your holiday: at Plaça Espanya you will find a small museum with exhibits from the time of the Talayot- Culture and the Romans.

You will find the way to the imposing fortified church by the signposting within the city. You can also follow the splendid and widely visible arch (Transfiguración del Señor) below the fortress. It should be noted that parking a car in the old town is almost impossible.

In addition, the stone steps shaded by cypresses to the Sanctuary of Santuari are an attraction that you must not miss! The breathtaking view from the fully accessible wall crowns the ascent.

Especially in the month of May, when the fruit trees bloom, the visitor should also make an excursion to the Ermita de Betlem. It is especially the way to get there. This stretches through a beautiful and idyllic valley and continues on a narrow serpentine road over a mountain range. From this peak you can see the Colonia de Sant Père and the Bay of Alcudia, and if the weather is right, you can even reach Cap Formentor. On foot you can reach the coast between Colonia de Sant Père and Betlem via the sacred source Font de S'Ermita.

In addition, the Cala Torta, a bay that is far away from every population and on the north coast, is a popular destination. She is also popular with, but by no means only, nude bathing fans. The glasklare water invites you to swim and since the beach only slightly falls, it is best suited for children.

Also worthy of note are the famous caves of Artà. These belong to the municipality of the town, but are about 10 km from Artà.

Sport and leisure in Artà

In and around Artà there are many different possibilities for sports and leisure activities. There is the possibility to take a boat from Artà to Cap Ferrutx: you can watch the island from the sea or jump into the refreshing wet and swim. For the reason that the current is low, this bathing experience is also very suitable for children.

There are also approx.5 km from Artà, a golf course in Capdepera and a golf club in Canyamel. This is located about 7 km from Artà. Also worth a trip to the old monastery Torre de Canyamel. This has its own brewery and offers you unconventional dishes such as suckling pig and other delicacies.

Best restaurants in Artà

In Artà there are countless restaurants, all of them with their own charm. La Calatrava offers a romantic atmosphere for a dinner for two. La Calatrava also offers lunch, dinner, after-hours and desserts for other special events such as business events or corporate events.

The Grill & Tapas Ca Nostra, on the other hand, offers guests the opportunity to have a rich breakfast or a brunch.

In the restaurant Na Creu, guests will find everything from their steaks, tapas to international dishes. The family restaurant is particularly suitable for lunch and dinner.

Other restaurants, such as Vino e Cucina, which specialize in Italian cuisine, or Sant Salvador, which includes Spanish and European cuisine, complete the culinary offerings in Artà. A reservation is recommended for all restaurants.
