As the only surviving circular castle in Europe, the Castillo de Bellver was formerly used by kings mainly as a summer residence and by the turn of the century it was the green lung of Palma, sympathetic residential district of El Terreno, the weekend and holiday district of the upper classes of Palma.Until today, old steps run through the entire district, which lead directly to the Castillo de Bellver with a beautiful park, from where you have the perfect view over the whole of Palma. The fully equipped coffee maker, toaster, Dolce Gusto machine, stove, dishwasher and more. is a matter of course. On the lower floor is also one of the 4 quiet bedrooms with a double bed and a small bathroom. In the morning you will wake up relaxed with birdsong, because three of these bedrooms are located to the rear, two even overlooking the wooded park. The outdoor area with its private terraces with comfortable chill-out invites to relaxing hours and barbecues. The remaining 3 bedrooms are on the upper floor, one with double bed and two with single beds, and a bathroom flanked by another living room and access to a very well furnished sea view sun terrace. From here, a small staircase leads to the small tower, here you have a wonderful view of the great area. Thus, a unique panorama combines the castle garden, sea and Palma. Despite the settlement situation, villa and terraces are very private due to the sublime location. The private garage has space for a small car or bicycles, but beware, the entrance has on one side only a height of 160 cm! Palma de Mallorca

The capital of the Spanish Mediterranean island of Majorca, Palma de Mallorca (Catalan also: Ciutat de Mallorca), is the center of the island and despite its metropolitan character has about 400,000 inhabitants - impossible to escape the magic of this city with its many fascinating hot spots. The capital of the island is the seat of the autonomous government of the Balearic Islands and was called only Palma between 2008 and 2011.The reason for this type of shortcut was an application made in 1998. However, the government, which has been at the top of the city since 2011, promptly reversed the change, rebuilding the city's full name since November 16, 2011 wearing. In the capital of the island are both the largest port and the largest airport of this. Because of this and the fact that the hotels distributed on the island offer excursions to the capital, the capital represents a true tourism magnet. Palma de Mallorca stretches along the bay of Palma in the west of Majorca. The agglomeration of the capital is more than 30 km long. History of Palma de Mallorca

123 BC The Roman consul Quintus Caecilius Metellus conquered the island of Mallorca, which dates back to 5000 BC. Was colonized by the Talayot culture. One of the first acts of the new ruler was the foundation of the city Palmaria Palmensis, which corresponds to the capital of today. As a consequence of the fall of the Western Roman Empire began in the course of the 4th century, however, the decline of the city of Palmaria Palmensis. This decline could be stopped only by the conquest of the Arabs in 903: These built in the city of an Arab-Islamic culture, but in turn were expelled in 1229 even by the Aragonese. Subsequently, in 1276, the Kingdom of Mallorca was born. However, this was due to the extinction of the ruling family in 1343 again to the family of the house Aragon. The Aragonese built the Cathedral La Seu and a city fortification, which made more and more people aspire to live in the modern city of Palma de Mallorca: in its heyday during the 16th century.Century the city had about 40,000 inhabitants. Before a renewed boom began in the 20th century, Mallorca belonged to the country of Spain and after the Second World War, mass tourism spread to the island.

Great Holidays

Dear Caroline and Leon, we had a very nice trip to Mallorca this year and your villa was a very good starting point for walking into the City of Palma, relaxing, going to the beach (by car approx. 5-10min), having great evenings on the balcony’s. The house is very good equipped and the locations is wonderful. No disturbing noise during the nights and evenings because it is in a very quite area, where no traffic occurs. Thank you very much also for your kindness in checking in and out. All the best, Daniel

Very big and comfortable villa

We are a group of 8 girls and stayed at the villa El Terreno. Our stay was great and made easy by Leon who was a great host and gave us all the informations needed to fully enjoy Mallorca. The kitchen is big and allowed us to cook everyday for eight people. The fans stayed useful due to the heat. Also, the view is breathtaking. I fully recommend this villa firstly because of the location and to the house itself and then thanks to the host.
